Course was completed for specialists responsible for anti-doping, under professional development program “Ethics in Sport: Key Aspects of Anti-Doping Activities” of MGIMO and RUSADA

On March 29, the course was completed for specialists responsible for anti-doping, under professional development program “Ethics in Sport: Key Aspects of Anti-Doping Activities” of MGIMO School of Business and International Competencies and RAA RUSADA.

Specialists from more than 30 regions of Russia participated in the program.

The course was taught under the special program developed by RUSADA Deputy Director General on international cooperation and anti-doping issues Margarita Pakhnotskaya jointly with Associate Professor of MGIMO Department of Marketing and Management, Scientific Director of educational programs on Management in Sport and Master’s Program “Sport Diplomacy” Elena Ponomareva.

For the three days of the heavy agenda, the listeners familiarized themselves with ethics in sport, anti-doping rules, and the best practices of fighting against doping, studied documents related to the anti-doping legislation, and also obtained practical skills required in their professional activities for creating zero tolerance to doping in sport.

On the final day, evaluation was conducted of all the participants who presented tactical plans on promoting “Ethics in Sport” project in their region. The expert panel consisted of RUSADA Director General Yuri Ganus, Director of Science and Education Department at Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation Tatiana Fomichenko, Director of MGIMO School of Business and International Competencies Anzhelika Mirzoeva and RUSADA Deputy Director General on international cooperation and anti-doping issues Margarita Pakhnotskaya.

After the defense of the projects, the ceremony of awarding certificates of completing the professional development course   took place.
