First training seminars in Tomsk

On March 11 and 12, 2019 in Tomsk, the chief specialist of RUSADA educational department, Ekaterina Sizikova, conducted training workshops “Key Anti-Doping Issues”. The events were held jointly with the Department of Youth Policy, Physical Culture and Sports of Tomsk region in Tomsk State Pedagogical University. Chief Specialist of the Department of Youth Policy, Physical Culture and Sports of Tomsk region, Anna Ber, made a presentation  on ‘Violations of anti-doping rules. On March 11, coaches and representatives from youth sports schools of Tomsk region got acquainted with the international aspects of anti-doping activities, All-Russian anti-doping rules, doping control procedure, nuances of filling the ADAMS system, and rules for submitting TUE requests. Special attention was paid to psychological aspects of prevention of anti-doping rule violations by minor athletes and to communication issues.

On March 12, athletes took part in an interactive anti-doping training. The participants of the workshop are not included in testing pools so far, and only one athlete had experience of passing doping control procedure. At the training, they learned their rights and obligations regarding to doping control and ADAMS system filing - this information will allow athletes feel more confident in the future.
At the end of the event, the participants compiled the anti-doping security manifesto “Anti-Doping Security Rules”:

2. Check medications
3. Trust original sources
4. Take care of health
5. Play true

Availability of the electronic certificate which confirms passing RUSADA anti-doping online course has become the obligatory condition for taking part in events of RUSADA since 2018. The course provides necessary minimum knowledge on anti-doping .
