RUSADA continues to expand doping-free territory in Russia. In May, three regions became part of the regions involved in the active fight against doping.
On May 7, RUSADA signed a cooperation agreement with the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Altai. On the part of the Republic of Altai, the agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic Kazakpaev Zauri Genadievich.
On May 26, RUSADA and the Ministry of Sports of the Astrakhan Region concluded a cooperation agreement. The Minister of Sports of the Astrakhan Region Fidurov Maxim Alexandrovich, signed an agreement.
On May 30, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Novosibirsk Region. Minister of Physical Culture and Sport of the region Sergey Akhapov signed an agreement.
Agreements on cooperation with the regions provide for the interaction of the parties in the struggle to ensure the purity of sports; cooperation in organizing and conducting anti-doping educational activities; cooperation in investigating possible anti-doping rule violations; protection of the fundamental right of Russian athletes to participate in doping-free competitions; promotion and support of sports; increasing the authority of Russian sports in the international arena.
In April, RUSADA published a rating of regions. The rating is based on the RUSADA requirements, sent to persons, responsible for anti-doping support in the relevant regional institutions in July 2018 and are binding:
• Availability of the “Anti-Doping” section on the website of the regional executive body in the field of physical culture and sports, drawn up in accordance with the RUSADA recommendations;
• Schedule provided;
• Monthly report on the events held;
• Qualified specialist responsible for anti-doping support;
• A signed agreement with RUSADA on cooperation in the field of countering doping in sport.
The rating of regions is updated every month.
