Anti-Doping Symposium of the Council of Europe was held in Larnaca, Cyprus on April 16.
RUSADA Deputy Director General on international cooperation and anti-doping issues Margarita Pakhnotskaya took part in an anti-doping symposium and gave a presentation about applying the Recommendation of the Monitoring Group on Information Sharing between Public Agencies and Anti-Doping Organizations in the Fight against Doping.
Also, RUSADA Deputy Director General Margarita Pakhnotskaya participated in the panel discussion on the experience of cooperation between anti-doping agencies and public agencies. Margarita Pakhnotskaya commended the work of the interdepartmental working group on coordinating the anti-doping activities in Russian sport. RUSADA is a part of this group which is headed by Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation Pavel Kolobkov. Since 2017, serious steps have been taken for organizing cooperation among the Ministries which are in the working group in the issues of fighting against doping, as well as in lawmaking and developing educational programs. Such important areas of cooperation can be singled out as cooperation of RUSADA Investigations Department with a number of structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and RUSADA cooperation with the Committee on Physical Culture and Sport of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
Head of Results Management Department Tatiana Galeta spoke at the Symposium about the amendments made to the regulatory documents, bringing the hearings procedure in Russia in full compliance with the Recommendations of the Council of Europe and ensuring the right to a fair hearing for athletes and other persons.
