International Symposium “Becoming an Olympic athlete without doping. A holistic approach”

On June 24-25, 2019, in Olympia, Greece, the International Symposium “Becoming an Olympic athlete without doping. A holistic approach”. The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Greece, the National Center for Sports Studies, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the International Federation of Sports Medicine and the Russian Anti-Doping Agency “RUSADA”.

International speakers will address the presentations on the development of the Olympic movement free from doping, and on the role of ethics in sports. They will also share their experience in introducing innovative tools in the field of education, testing and investigations, and discuss research in the field of anti-doping. RUSADA Director General, Yuri Ganus, will make a presentation on “International integration after the Russian crisis”.

Among the speakers of the symposium are:

Andrea Petroczi / Research Professor at Kingston University London and an internationally recognized expert in doping behavior research.

The Russian anti-doping and sports community faces the key challenge on integrating into the world system after the doping crisis. Guided by its efforts to create a progressive anti-doping system in Russia capable of protecting clean athletes and their right to participate in all international competitions without restrictions, RUSADA is one of the co-organizers of the International Symposium “Becoming an Olympic athlete without doping. A holistic approach”.
