On January 24, 2020 a working meeting was held in the RUSADA office with an independent commission of athletes of the All-Russian Athletics Federation, represented by three-time world champion in high jump Maria Lasitskene, her coach Gennady Gabrilyan and Rodion Gataulin, head of the All-Russian Athletics Federation athletes commission.
The purpose of the meeting was to find solutions to the situation, as a result of which athletes were excluded from participation in international competitions.
Regardless of the decisions of the WADA ExCo, RUSADA, guided in its activities by the mission to protect the right of “clean” athletes to participate in doping-free competitions, will make every effort to ensure the admission of athletes of all sports disciplines to competitions of international level.
Maria Lasitskene thanked RUSADA for supporting athletes:
