On January 31 in St. Petersburg on the basis of the Committee for physical culture and sports of St. Petersburg RUSADA in cooperation with the Ministry of sports of Russia and Ministry of Internal Affairs held the second training workshop on organization of anti-doping work for employees of MIA Main Directorate for drug control in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.
The seminar focused on key aspects of the investigation of possible anti-doping rule violations and the interaction of law enforcement agencies with RUSADA and the Ministry of sports of the Russian Federation. In 2020, within the framework of cooperation between RUSADA, Ministry of sports and Ministry of Internal Affairs, a number of similar events are planned in other regions.
At the seminar spoke Deputy Minister of sports of the Russian Federation Igor Sidorkevich, RUSADA Director General Yuri Ganus and RUSADA Deputy Director General Margarita Pakhnotskaya, Veronika Loginova, head of the Department of anti-doping and interagency cooperation of the Department of science and education of the Ministry of sports of Russia, Deputy chief of Department of activities to limit the circulation of new psychoactive substances and anti-doping control for coordination of legal drug trafficking and the prevention of administrative offenses in the sphere of IDT MDDC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Kirill Kuznetsov, head of the RUSADA Anti-doping rule violations Investigations Department Leonid Ivanov.
