RUSADA completed the first three-day training for representatives of all-Russian sports federations

On February 7, 8 and 11 RUSADA hosted in Moscow a three-day scientific and methodological seminar for those responsible for anti-doping support in the all-Russian sports federations. RUSADA specialists conducted lectures to 22 representatives of 12 federations. The following topics were discussed: international legal aspects of anti-doping activities, types of anti-doping rule violations and consequences, doping control rules, Prohibited list and therapeutic use of prohibited substances and methods in sports, filling ADAMS, the role of parents and coaches in the establishment of anti-doping culture and the principles of anti-doping safety in youth sports. During the practical session, participants were divided into groups to prepare mini-lectures for different target audiences. 

17 representatives from 10 sports federations and 1 specialist of the CSKA medical and sports clinic named after S. M. Bеlakovsky successfully proved the knowledge and received a certificate with the right to organize and conduct anti-doping information seminars for the athletes and athletes’ personnel. 

The seminar continues RUSADA systematic work with the national sports federations over the past three years. Development and implementation of anti-doping educational programs together with RUSADA is the responsibility of the all-Russian sports federations under to the law "On Physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation".

The federations which sent an anti-doping educational strategy draft to RUSADA in December 2018 and January this year, received invitations to the seminar. 2 more seminars are planned in spring.
