The Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency «RUSADA» has disqualified the canoeist Vasily Berendyaev for four years for violating Russian Anti-Doping Rules para 2.3 «Evading, refusing or failing to submit to sample collection».
The hearings took place on Thursday September 19 in Moscow.
RUSADA held first open hearings on an antidoping rules violations, Berendyaev himself insisted on such a format of the hearings.
During the hearings, Berendyaev’s coach tried to put pressure on RUSADA employees.
Russian Canoe Federation must apply the disqualification to Berendyaev under and pursuant to RUSADA decision.
