Sergey Ryzansky

Born on November 13, 1974

Russian test cosmonaut of Roskosmos state space corporation Cosmonaut Group. 535th  man in space in the world and 117th in Russia.

He graduated from Department of Biology of Lomonosov Moscow State University (1996). After graduation, he worked in the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation Institute of Medical and Biological Issues of the Russian Academy of Science.  Defended "physiology" and "aviation and space medicine" dissertations. He took part in Mars-500 project as the crew commander of Mars 105. He graduated with honors from the Master’s program in public and municipal administration of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. In 2003, he was enlisted in the cosmonaut group. In 2005, he was qualified as researcher cosmonaut, in 2010 — as test cosmonaut.

From September 26, 2013 to March 11, 2014, he had his first space mission as the flight engineer of Soyuz TMA-10M as the participant of Expedition 38/39 to the International Space Station together with Oleg Kotov and Michael Hopkins.
