From April 18 to 22, 2025, the city of Yekaterinburg hosted the All-Russian Children's and Youth Competitions in the sport of blindness in the disciplines of athletics and swimming. These competitions will bring together young athletes aged 9 to 17 from various regions of Russia.
From April 19 to 21, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) held training sessions for the competition participants. During these sessions, the participants learned about:
- Why sport should be clean?
- How to protect themselves and avoid violating anti-doping regulations.
- Where and how to verify medications.
- What motivates themselves, how not to give up, and how to stay focused on their goals.
The training sessions were conducted in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The young athletes actively asked questions, expressed their opinions, and engaged in discussions. The primary goal of these training sessions was to help the athletes understand the importance of fair competition and taking care of their health at the beginning of their athletic careers.
RUSADA would like to express its gratitude to the Russian Federation of Sports for the Blind for their cooperation and support in organizing educational events.
