Veronika Loginova, Director General of RUSADA, took part in a roundtable organized by the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sport on the topic: “Russia and International Cooperation in Sport and the Fight Against Doping.”
The discussion addressed key issues related to the development of Russia’s national anti-doping system, its alignment with international standards, and Russia’s role in shaping the global agenda for clean sport.
As Alexander Nikitin, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation, emphasized:
“In Russia, we aim to build the strongest possible anti-doping system—one that will serve as a benchmark for our international partners as well. In the near future, we plan to hold a meeting of the Government Commission dedicated to the International Convention against Doping in Sport.”
The 10th session of the Conference of Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport (COP10) will take place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 20 to 22 October 2025. This session marks the 20th anniversary of the Convention—a milestone celebrating two decades of global progress in safeguarding the values, ethics, and integrity of sport. COP10 will serve as a platform for strategic intergovernmental dialogue, decision-making, and forward-looking actions to address emerging challenges in sports integrity governance.
