The 5th International Anti-Doping Forum, entitled “Together Towards 2027: Prospects for the Development of the Anti-Doping System,” is taking place in Tunisia. The forum brings together representatives of national and regional anti-doping organizations, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and other members of the international sporting community.

Staff members of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) are participating in the forum.

The event’s program covers a wide range of topical issues, including:

• preparing for the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code: Different Perspectives

• implementing the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code in National Legal Systems

• education and the Clean Sport Agenda: Looking Ahead to 2027

• practical Experience: Key Takeaways and Future Prospects

• intelligence and Investigations

• contamination Cases and Their Prevention

• the Digital Landscape of Anti-Doping

• soft Skills for Anti-Doping Professionals

An important part of the program is dedicated to anti-doping education and practical approaches to its further development. During a thematic session, Valeria Konova, Head of the Information and Educational Programs Development and Implementation Department at RUSADA, presented the agency’s experience in delivering educational projects to international colleagues. In particular, she spoke about the training program for anti-doping coordinators in national sports federations, as well as RUSADA’s experience of engaging with athletes through its Clean Sport Ambassadors project.

Nikolay Kondakov, Head of the Science Department at RUSADA, is also participating in the forum. During the event, he held a working meeting with representatives of the Chinese anti-doping organization to discuss prospects for professional engagement and further cooperation. He also met with representatives of the Seibersdorf Laboratory and anti-doping equipment suppliers to explore potential areas for collaboration.

In addition, Nikolay Kondakov is attending seminars devoted to investigations into anti-doping rule violations and contamination involving dietary supplements, medicinal products, and food. The seminars provide an opportunity for participants to examine practical case studies, including examples from RUSADA’s experience, and discuss approaches to identifying, investigating, and preventing such cases.

The forum is organized by the National Anti-Doping Agency of Tunisia (ANAD Tunisia) in partnership with the Institute of National Anti-Doping Organisations (iNADO), with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Tunisia.

The event promotes international professional dialogue, the exchange of experience, and discussions on key areas for the future development of the anti-doping system.
