The head of the department for the therapeutic use of substances prohibited in sports at RUSADA attended the First Volga Region Symposium on Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, which was held on May 27-28 in Kazan. At the symposium, Pavel Kharkov discussed the challenges that arise when athletes receive therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs) and explained the algorithms for applying for them.
Leading experts from Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan attended the event. The symposium aimed to find new solutions in the scientific, methodological, and medical-biological support for athletes' training and to promote professional development among specialists working with athletes across Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
