On November 20, 2024, at Fisht Stadium as part of the inaugural Russian Drone Racing Championship, a collaboration agreement was signed between the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) and the Russian Drone Racing Federation (RDRF).
The agreement was formalized during a roundtable discussion on the development of drone racing as a sport. One of the sessions of the roundtable was dedicated to the topic "Promoting Fair Play Principles as an Integral Part of the Development of Innovative Sports: Prospects for Cooperation between RUSADA and RDRF," presented by RUSADA representatives.
Additionally, an educational session was held for RDRF pilots and coaches on essential aspects of anti-doping practices. Athletes learned about the connection between innovative sports and anti-doping regulations, as well as received an explanation of why combating doping is crucial for all participants in sports.
Veronika Loginova said that innovative sports that attract young athletes should provide a platform for fair competition where everyone has an equal chance of success. She expressed her willingness to share her knowledge and experience with the Drone Racing Federation to promote children's health and protect the rights of clean athletes. The Federation has already started work on an anti-doping strategy and held the first seminars, and they plan to continue cooperating.
