Today, 2 December 2025, the World Conference on Doping in Sport kicked off in Busan, Republic of Korea — the largest event of the global anti-doping community, bringing together around 1,500 experts from across the world. RUSADA is represented at the Conference by Valeriya Konova, Head of the Department for Development and Implementation of Information and Educational Programs, and Nikolay Kondakov, Head of the Science Department.

The central agenda of the Conference is the discussion and adoption of the updated 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, which will enter into force on 1 January 2027. Particular focus is placed on safeguarding athletes’ rights and modernising standards in education, testing, laboratory analysis, therapeutic use exemptions and investigations. RUSADA’s participation underscores the Agency’s firm commitment to the principles of clean sport and its readiness to actively contribute to shaping the global anti-doping policy.

Following the Conference, RUSADA will hold a dedicated event for Russian anti-doping specialists — featuring a detailed review of key updates to anti-doping regulations and practical guidance on implementing the new requirements.
