RUSADA Education Digest. September 2024

More than 1,500 people attended RUSADA's offline events in September 2024.

Last month, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) held a series of educational events to raise awareness among athletes, coaches, medical professionals, and other anti-doping experts.

The events included:

  • The Russian seminar for ski racing coaches in Tyumen, dedicated to preventing anti-doping violations and the role of coaches in shaping athletes' personalities.
  • The anti-doping quiz for participants in the Russian "Leather Ball" competitions in Moscow, organized in collaboration with the Russian Football Union (RFU).
  • The ROC and RUSADA educational program at the Tchaikovsky State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports in Tchaikovsky, Perm Territory. As part of the program, advanced training courses on the additional professional program "Prevention of doping in sports and fighting it in regional sports federations" were held. Experts from the Perm Territory and Udmurtia attended the event.
  • The seminar on "Features of working in the ADAMS system" was held in Paramonovo, Moscow region. The event took place at the training center for athletes of the Luge federation.
  • Anti-doping seminars for athletes were held as part of the Russian Biathlon Championships in Saransk. These included 4 anti-doping lectures on "Doping control procedures" and an outreach anti-doping quiz for athletes aged 15-16.
  • Additional professional development program "Prevention of Doping in Sports and Fighting It in Regional Sports Federations", Omsk. The ROC and RUSADA experts held a joint event at the Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sports.
  • Anti-Doping Seminars within the Clean Ice Club Program, Omsk. A series of seminars were held at the Academy of HC Avangard for coaches, medical staff, students, and their parents.
  • Anti-Doping Training Seminars for Young Athletes at the Smena and Artek Sports Centers in Anapa and Gurzuf, within the framework of the ROC project "Olympic Reserve - the Best for Children" in collaboration with the Russian Judo Federation.
  • An anti-doping quiz was held during the Moscow Region's Bob Start and Skeleton Start championships in Paramonovo, Moscow Region.

In September 2024 on the RUSADA educational platform were received:

24,768 certificates of successful completion of the anti-doping course on its online education portal.

5,245 certificates were awarded for successful completion of the "Values of Sports" course.

193 certificates were given to participants who successfully completed the Course for Sports Medicine Specialists and Medical Staff.

407 certificates were presented to athletes with hearing impairments who completed the relevant course.
