On July 15, 2020, RUSADA held a video-conference “Anti-Doping under new circumstances and restrictions” with the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, All-Russian Olympic Sports Federations and sports reserve training centers.
The video conference was devoted to the current key issues of anti-doping, including the likely consequences of the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the admission process to international competitions for athletes. RUSADA Director General Yury Ganus, Deputy Director General Margarita Pakhnotskaya and Heads of RUSADA departments spoke at the event.
RUSADA Testing department summed up the results of the first stage launch of testing under RUSADA testing program after its forced suspension in connection with measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, as well as paid attention to the current requirements for ensuring access to athletes during training process and competitions.
Then medical aspects of the use of prohibited substances and methods in sports in the era of new conditions of restrictions were considered.
A separate section was devoted to RUSADA’s new educational formats and RUSADA special programme for entry into forceprogram for the All-Russian Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations with preparation for entry into force of the World Anti-Doping Code 2021 and the International Education Standard.
In the coming days, a similar meeting with representatives of non-Olympic sports federations is planned.
