On November 1, 2019, in Petrozavodsk (Republic of Karelia), “Key aspects of anti-doping” round table was held as part of the republican meeting of specialists in the field of physical education and sports.
Russian anti-doping agency «RUSADA» was represented at the Conference by Valeriya Konova, chief specialist of educational programs department, and Pavel Khorkin, head of TUE department, who spoke on anti-doping security issues in sports.
The Minister of Sports of the Republic of Karelia Aleksey Ermashov, Director of the Karelian Sports Training Center Timur Anatolyevich Zornyakov, chief medical officer of the Karelian Physical Culture Dispensary Sergey Kleimenov, representatives of regional sports federations, sports schools, and sports medicine specialists attended the Conference.
After the round table, RUSADA held a series of workshops for athletes, coaches and medical specialists on anti-doping rules and responsibility for their violation.
Earlier, on October 31, 2019, in Petrozavodsk RUSADA held a working meeting with the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Karelia Alexei Ermashov, at which the issues of anti-doping in Karelia, as well as cooperation with RUSADA on countering doping in sports, were discussed.
