On January 21, 2019, the XII Conference of the Russian Whitewater Slalom Federation devoted to activities of the Federation and prospects for the development of whitewater slalom was held with the participation of Russian Anti-Doping Agency «RUSADA». In the presentation on anti-doping security, RUSADA Deputy Director General Margarita Pakhnotskaya referred to the rights and obligations of athletes and athletes’ personnel. Special attention was paid to the issues of filling ADAMS and providing whereabouts information by athletes in testing pools.
Today, the national testing pool includes 9 athletes from the Russian Whitewater Slalom Federation. Athletes in the pool are required to provide information about their whereabouts. Any combination of three missed tests and/or filing failures, as defined in the International Standard for Testing and Investigations, within a twelve-month period is an anti-doping rules violation by an athlete (Article 2.4 of the World Anti-Doping Code «Whereabouts Failures»).
