September 4, 2019 Clean Sport Insight Forum was held in London, where athletes, scientists, Government representatives and anti-doping organizations, including RUSADA, discussed educational practices in the field of counteracting doping in sports, main results in the field of social sciences research and general perception of the existing doing prevention system. The agenda was focused on the importance of research-based prevention programs, as well as on the prospects of a system collecting prevention efforts of all anti-doping stakeholders. The ideas and theses expressed at the Forum gave rise to an open and honest dialogue within the international community setting a clear path for the 2020 conference to be held in Slovenia.
September 5-6, 2019 RUSADA Deputy Director General Margarita Pakhnotskaya took part in the Meeting of the Advisory Group on Education (T-DO ED) of the Council of Europe, which was held in London in co-operation with the UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD).
The main agenda of the meeting was devoted to the existing educational formats’ review with respect to revision of the World Anti-Doping Code and the emergence of the new International Standard for Education. In addition, the obligations of the Signatory parties to the Council of Europe Anti-Doping Convention regarding the implementation of educational programs have been discussed.
Margarita Pakhnotskaya made a presentation on the implementation of educational anti-doping programs for various target audiences, in particular for schools, universities, executive authorities in the field of physical culture and sports and law enforcement authorities.
The meeting was attended by recognized experts in the field of anti-doping education, representatives from WADA, IOC, European Governments and International Federations, including UEFA, Athletics Integrity Unit, International Handball Federation and World Rugby.
