On January 22, 2025, TASS Press Center will host an educational seminar for media representatives on the topic of "The Anti-Doping Movement. The Role of Media in the Fight Against Doping."
The speakers at the seminar will be leaders of RUSADA's various departments who have access to the most up-to-date statistics on adverse passport finding in sports. They will discuss topics such as the principles of planning doping controls, trends in TUE in Russia and other countries, methods for detecting and investigating anti-doping adverse passport finding, and more. This information will help journalists better understand the issues surrounding doping in sports and RUSADA's role in fighting it.
Zero tolerance is the approach towards doping that we aim for. Experience shows that strengthening this attitude cannot be achieved solely through RUSADA. An essential tool for preventing doping in sports, shaping public opinion, and promoting clean and healthy sport is not a sanction, a testing procedure, or an increase in the list of prohibited substances in sport, but rather the materials produced by sports journalists, professionals knowledgeable in the fight against doping.
Representatives of the media interested in the issue of anti-doping are invited to attend the seminar. At the conclusion of the seminar, there will be a question-and-answer session with the participation of RUSADA's CEO and department heads.
