On May 16, Russian Anti-Doping Agency RUSADA, with support of the Russian Olympic Committee, held conference "Therapeutic Use Exemptions of substances and methods prohibited in sport".
Welcoming statement was made by RUSADA Deputy Director General on international cooperation and anti-doping issues Margarita Pakhnotskaya.
The conference agenda included presentations by Head of TUE Department Pavel Khorkin, chief specialist of TUE Department Maxim Vorobiev, Head of Educational Programs Department Stanislav Rodionov, and members of the TUE Committee.
The presentations covered the current issues of therapeutic use exemptions of substances and methods prohibited in sport, the procedure for obtaining therapeutic use exemptions, issues of application of anabolic androgenic steroids and dietary supplements in elite sport, and also the issues related to making decisions on using substances and methods prohibited in sport at different pathologies.
Among the conference participants were representatives of the Russian Federal Biomedical Agency, the Center of Sport Medicine of the Russian Federal Biomedical Agency, the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and All-Russian sport federations.
