The Russian Anti-Doping Agency is working on developing a new model for anti-doping support for young Russian athletes. As part of this innovative project, RUSADA experts held a series of events in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District from April 21-24.
During this period, they:
- organized an extended seminar for 38 representatives from sports organizations in the region on the organization and implementation of doping prevention measures in sports;
- conducted monitoring of anti-doping activities for young athletes and coaches at sports schools;
- discussed with the management of these schools ways to provide organizational and methodological support for sports training in line with current legislation on anti-doping.
RUSADA's mission is to make learning interesting for all target audiences. That's why we appreciate the initiative of sports organizations to introduce interactive approaches. The methodologists of SSHOR named after T.V. Akhatova, for example, held an event for coaches and methodologists in a Brain Ring game format. This increased the effectiveness of the seminar.
On April 10, RUSADA signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District to implement an innovative project for creating a regional model of anti-doping support for children's and youth sports. The agreement was signed as part of the Russian Forum "Win Fairly! Anti-Doping in Youth Sports" in Tambov. We continue to work to ensure honest and clean sports!
