Russian Anti-Doping Agency «RUSADA» has received congratulations with the upcoming 2019 year from colleagues across the world.
Tom May (Director of Department of Programs Development and NADO/RADO Relations at the World Anti-Doping Agency and Head of 2018 Audit Team of RUSADA), Olle Dalin (President of the International Biathlon Union), Jonathan Taylor (Leading sports lawyer in Bird & Bird) and many other representatives of the world sports community acknowledged the agency’s contribution to the fight against doping in sports over the past year, the professionalism of the new RUSADA team and its commitment to the ideals of fair sport. According to them, such approach of RUSADA signifies the "beginning of a new era" in the development of anti-doping in Russia.
Olivier Niggli (WADA Director General) congratulated RUSADA and thanked it for work and dedication. Tim Ricketts (Director of Standards & Harmonization Department of WADA and Head of 2017 Audit Team of RUSADA) appreciated “the continuous progress shown by RUSADA team”.
Graeme Steel (CEO of Institute of National Anti-Doping Organizations iNADO) thanked RUSADA for the quality work and close cooperation with the community of national anti-doping agencies around the world. Doug McQuarrie (Chairman of Institute of National Anti-Doping Organizations iNADO) wished the agency’s management continued success on the difficult path in the struggle for athletes’ rights to participate in competitions free of doping.
Richard Budgett (Medical and Scientific Director of the International Olympic Committee) thanked RUSADA team for the “recognized and highly appreciated contribution to the protection of clean sport” and expressed hope for future cooperation of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency with the International Testing Agency (ITA).
Benjamin Cohen (Director General of the International Testing Agency ITA) also added in his letter that he is looking forward to “establishing close and fruitful cooperation with RUSADA”.
In 2018, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency «RUSADA» has implemented a lot of new projects aimed at establishing zero tolerance towards doping in the country, and laid the foundations for their development in the future.
