RUSADA Investigation Department, within the period from November 2018 to April 2019, carried out three trips to the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, in order to verify information about a possible anti-doping rules violation by athlete's personnel and a group of athletes, including members of the Russian athletics national team.
In the course of the activities carried out, the fact of direct participation of a life-long disqualified coach in the process of training activities with the participation of seven athletes on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic was established (the sport: track and field athletics). With regard to one of the athletes, the information has been transferred to the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), as the athlete is under the care of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
Furthermore, throughout the course of information verification, the targeted testing of the athletes’ data has been organized, according to the results of which one athlete has been disqualified for 4 years for violation of the clause 2.1 of the All-Russian Anti-Doping Rules.
On June 14, 2019, RUSADA has notified All-Russian Athletics Federation about the possible fact of the prohibited association.
On the basis of the revealed facts, RUSADA has opened a number of cases on possible anti-doping rules violations.
The information has also been sent to the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
