The investigation has been initiated by RUSADA and which is actively undergoing.
The provisions of the World Anti-Doping Code and All-Russian Anti-Doping Rules require RUSADA as being a National Anti-Doping Organization to conduct a mandatory investigation of the Athlete Support Personnel in any cases involved the anti-doping rules violation committed by the Protected Person (see art. 20.5.12 of the World Anti-Doping Code and clause 1.3.1 of the All-Russian Anti-Doping Rules).
RUSADA needs to undertake the investigation to reveal all circumstances of the potential anti-doping rules violation in favor of the Protected Person, to established the persons involved into this violation (or exclude the potential involvement), and also to collect the additional materials and evidences relevant to the case. In its work RUSADA strictly follows the provisions of the regulatory documents, namely requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code and WADA International Standards, which requires to conduct the confidential investigations. The thorough investigation requires time, the investigation is ongoing. One more time RUSADA would like to emphasize, that the athlete is a Protected Person and any further comments on the process of investigation not only violate the rights of the athlete, but also impacts on the conduction of the investigation with the principles of confidentiality and efficiency.
