RUSADA Director General signed a cooperation agreement with the KHMAO-Ugra Department of physical culture and sports at the Paralympic movement development forum.
On February 26, in Khanty-Mansiysk, within the framework of the V all-Russian Paralympic movement development forum was held the all-Russian scientific and practical conference «Current issues and problems of Russian Federation adaptive sports reserve training normative legal regulation". The event was attended by the Russian anti-doping agency «RUSADA» Director General Yuri A. Ganus, who made a presentation «RUSADA Anti-Doping activities in relation to national level athletes who are not part of the sports teams of the Russian Federation". In his speech, director noted the importance of anti-doping training for athletes at all levels; he also stressed the great role of the athletes' support personnel, including coaches and doctors, in the formation of athlete's personality and the values that he will adhere to both in sports and in life.
Another significant event of the conference was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Khanty-Mansiysk district-Ugra Department of physical culture and sports and RUSADA. The agreement became the next stage of organizations’ long-term cooperation in the anti-doping policy implementation and confirmed the commitment of the parties to continue active cooperation in this direction. In particular, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous district-Ugra became the first region with the anti-doping support department. The main mission of the Department of sports and RUSADA joint work is the establishment of an anti-doping culture among athletes and athletes’ support personnel.
